Nigerians can be so forgetful sometimes when it comes to entertainment – But beware of those who note down details.

I stumbled upon a post on social media and I was shocked with the details the tweet entails but if you are one Music lover who is observant, you will reason along with it.

Arguably, the handler made some selections of artistes and claimed they owned some certain entertainment awards.

Netizens have however stormed the page to backup the handler’s claimed bringing out different reasons and points why the tweet is accurate.

See the tweet below:-

Olamide’s UY Scuti Is The Song Of The Year

This might actually be the year that Olamide takes home the Album of the Year, because I don’t seem to see any serious contenders except Wizkid’s Made In Lagos Delux which was full of features.

Till date UY SCUTI is still a solid one. In fact, all year, I don’t think there’s any album that has been as critically excellent as UY Scuti.

Olamide’s UY Scuti sure stands out as one of the most sonically tuned projects of 2021.

Ladipoe Is The Rap Act Of The Year

While LadiPoe would be the hottest rapper of the year to a lot of people, closer perusal suggests that he is better than some of our over rated acts

The 29-year-old did put out a 4-track EP titled Know You in 2020 and a barrage of singles, including “Ride or Die” (2020) and “Feeling” in2021 whichis astrong contender for song of the year, that has made him impossible to ignore.

He got several nominations on global circuits like the BET Awards, AFRIMMA and more.

Buju Is The Artiste Of The Year

From being just a random artiste to being the most featured artiste in 2021 and arguably the artiste of the year.  This goes beyond grace alone, It is a combination of Hardwork, Talent, Grace, and consistency.

Buju Goes hard lonely from “Outside” to let us know how “Cold Outside” is as he “Never stop” walking his “Kilometre” to the top to get “Something Sweet” – I know he loves his current “Mood” and “Feeling” of being at the top so he won’t ever stop dishing great content to us.

He however showed us a glimpse of what he still has in store for us as he releases his so much anticipated album “Sorry I’m Late“. Buju is truly a beast!!!

Fireboy’s Peru Is The Song Of The Year

Fireboy DML is enjoying the success of his hit ‘Peru’ – a smash which got even bigger when Ed Sheeran offered a verse for the remix.

The Fireboy & Ed Sheeran’s Peru has peaked at no.1 on the UK R&B Charts, no. 3 on New Zealand Hot Singles, no. 3 on the Billboard Bubbling Under Hot 100 and so much more

The song was the only direct competition for Wizkid’s moster hit with Tem’s “essence” and it became an instant hit since its release.

Tems is The Best New Act

On Monday, June 7, 2021, it was announced that Nigerian singer, Tems was nominated in the Viewers’ Choice: Best New International Act Category at the 2021 BET Awards.

Tems had a stellar year where ‘Essence,’ her collaboration with Wizkid has been making the rounds across the world.

She also dropped her debut EP, For Broken Ears and got a next rated nomination at the 2021 Headies.

Portable Is The Street Artiste Of The Year

One definition of delay is a period of time by which something is late or postponed and one definition for denial is the refusal of something desired. Do you see the difference?

Portable might be the lastest street artiste on the block but he has outdone a lot of artistes who have seem to be striving hard in the industry.

He has broken all bounds and crossed lots of borders straight up to the top. He managed to be the talk of the whole country and beyond in just the little time he joined.
