LET’s TALK!!! Do You Think Zinoleesky Would Have Done Better If He Was Signed Under Olamide’s YBNL Label?

Posted by on September 20, 2022 0

Over the years, Naira Marley’s Marlian Records have proved to be just a “cruise label” in disguise having signed some of the finest and promising musical stars.
On December 30, 2019, at the Marlian Fest, Naira Marley announced the launch of his label with the automatic signing of 4 acts namely: Zinoleesky , Mobhad, Fabian Blu, and C Black.

Although, Zinoleesky have proven that he has all it takes to contend the top ranks in the Nigerian musical sphere having dropped hits upon hits and also contending strongly for the “Next-Rated” award which he lost to Buju. – An award his boss Naira Marley wasn’t recognized for.

Zinoleesky ‘s potentials keeps being compressed in his label because he obviously isn’t getting the right vibe he should to make him bigger than he currently is.

Zinoleesky Has Never Headlined A Show Of Himself Despite Having All It Takes To Do So – But Why?
Considering the structure of Marlian records, from the boss to the whole invincible team, it is clear the label is just a disguise of smokers who just want to trend.

Always being in the news for the wrong reason every now.

Secondly, the Marlian Fest itself which comprises of the headliner and boss, Naira Marley himself and all other artistes signed to the label alongside other affiliates have lost relevancy unlike it was when it started.

In the past 2 years, the highest turnup at the Marlian Fest was less than 500 spectators, a show which started with over 4000 spectators at the Eko Convention center, Lagos

The last edition had a lot of people leaving the venue even before the show had started because there was almost 5 hours delay at the show.

Zinoleesky would hardly have 1 hour to himself to make his fans love him more for his performance and also get a chance to showcase himself to the world in another dimension again.

A label who would rather seek to get affiliated to artistes who do international shows and would never want to push further on getting better.

The boss revealed his plan to host his Marlian Fest 2021 at the SSE Arena Wembley, London but failed to go on with the over 12,ooo capacity show.

Do You Think Zinoleesky Would Have Done Better If He Was Signed Under Olamide’s YBNL Label?
Olamide’s record label, YBNL, has proven to be one of the best music outfits in the country. There is no way the label wouldn’t make the top 3 in the country.

Having produced some very successful acts, including the boss himself, Olamide, his protege, Lil Kesh, popular singer, Adekunle Gold, and more, YBNL is definitely one of the most successful record labels in Nigeria.

Talking about YBNL being a proper musical label, there is no way you wouldn’t talk about Olamide’s love for the business and also his hunger to get better by the day.

Having seen what he has done with the likes of Adekunle Gold, Lil Kesh, Fireboy that was signed properly to the label and even most recently, Asake.

From taking Fireboy from the level of a struggling upcoming artiste to a globally celebrated one, hosting a proper YBNL label show to hosting of personal shows for his artistes.

Also selling them out to proper brands who would be be of great potentials to the artistes and also the brand at large. Charging them to be on their toes and release top notch singles that are worth listening to over again.

Zinoleesky would definitely be bigger than Asake under YBNL.
